Video: Student Perspectives on Inclusive Access
Everyone knows the cost of textbooks can be a real barrier to affording college—most of all students. It’s a nearly universal experience to face sticker shock at the bookstore or to spend hours hunting for lower prices online. As campuses explore new models to lower prices, are all options created equal?
We asked three students what they think about Inclusive Access as sales model and whether it’s fair to automatically bill for digital textbooks through tuition and fees. Key takeaways include that “opting-out” is not always an option, that Inclusive Access savings do not always add up, and at the end of the day, students deserve to make choices for themselves.
